On 25 of March 2021, the Ministry of Health of Cambodia announced to the public that the third victim passed away because of the cell breakout of the Covid-19 virus. The death toll includes 2 Cambodian nationals and 1 Chinese national. In the early morning 26 of march, there is another confirmed death of a 55-year-old Cambodian traffic police officer in Phnom Penh. As a Cambodian youth, I am sharing my thoughts and prayers to those who did not make it. And i strongly encourage everyone Cambodian and other nations to take this virus seriously. We cannot underestimate the virus even though there are numerous factories that manufactured the vaccines.
Cambodia received its first vaccine doses from China and India, respectively. the vaccine doses boost significant confidence for the people of Cambodia in fighting the coronavirus. The vaccinations have been rolled out for weeks, injecting many of Cambodians. However, this is one the case protecting from the virus. Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) is required for everyone to practice preventive measures to decrease the chances of catching Covid-19.
The ongoing situation has crippled the economy nationwide, resulting in unstable growth and the downfall of economic activities of firms, businesses and investors. Some companies who are indirectly and directly affected by the virus forced to shut down and some forced to practice another working method which is working from home. However, some businesses and companies still opens because they have gotten plenty of tasks to do and to deliver to their clients.
